Dr. Holder’s Comments

The visits by male patients comprise 3% of my patient population. I would like to change this statistic to a higher number. Often, men are sent by significant others. In this case, this middle-age man thought he was looking aged. Just by simply excising skin tags, his results were dramatic. I call this the clean-up visit. This is a cosmetic procedure, not covered by insurance. We do offer CareCredit to ease the cost(s) of the visit.

Answer: Laser Hair Reduction, Fraxel Restore Laser, Chemical Peels, medical treatment

This condition(s) is often seen in people of African ancestry or any ethnicity with coarse curly hair. The root of the cause here is the hair shaft curling under the skin, causing ingrown hairs. I have often seen a strong association with polycystic ovary disease (PCOD). Multiple treatments were necessary to achieve this life-changing outcome. Laser Hair Reduction, chemical peels, Fraxel Laser, and medical intervention was paramount. This is an extreme case of how cosmetic dermatology can change lives.

Answer: Fraxel Restore Laser

In my 20 years of practicing dermatology, this population of my patients, including Southeast Asians (Fitz IV or V), Southwest Asians (Fitz V), and Eastern Asians (Fitz  IV), often expressed skepticism and concerns regarding safety and effectiveness of laser treatments in general. This patient was kind enough to give us consent to display her successful outcome so that others can benefit. The proof is here that Fraxel Restore Laser is safe and efficacious for you.

Answer: Virtue RF (microneedling with radiofrequency)

This procedure can be an alternative to under eye filler. This device promotes natural collagen production by using thermal energy(heat) with the mechanical tool of microneedling(36 needles). The added benefit is that it resurfaces the area, treating hyperpigmentation. This procedure is done pain-free. The outcome is plumpness, tightening, and toning in the hollow periorbital area or tear trough, which sometimes can present in the mid-30s and progressively get worse. There is absolutely no down time with our aftercare protocol.
