She has gotten my adult cystic acne under control in ways no dermatologist was able to achieve previously. The chemical peels are a life saver, and I'm so glad my introduction to forehead Botox was through Park Slope Medi Spa. Now they have extended the property into the back garden area which it's beautiful for waiting (I always arrive early). The florals and trees feel like a small sanctuary; the perfect place to relax before getting anything done, and I always leave feeling glowing about myself. I wish I could attach photos of the garden to this review, but you'll have to see it for yourself read less

    GREAT RESULTS IN COOL SCULPTING!

    Even three weeks after, I just took the best picture of me in ages. I could not believe it, I was just looking at my smile and my face as it should be!

    Folks, I have had my dad's double chin since I was 5. Even with a healthy lifestyle, healthy weight and exercise, there it was ruining photos and aging me.

    Well, just THREE weeks later, (three more to go) I took the best picture I have EVER. I saw the results.

    They take such great care of you, they listen, they laugh, they don't judge or upsell, they jsy want you comfy in their office and in your own skin.

    I had to come back to let anyone who is considering cool sculpt, that I am over the moon with the results.

    THANK YOU DR HOLDER AND AMAZING STAFF!

    I have been in New York for almost 30 years. Not only do I feel like this place is the "Cheers" of derma spas, I felt like I got the best service and quality of care in memory.

    That alone should be enough, but the modern and comfortable decor is thoughtful as it lends itself to conversation, you forget it's "let the treatment sink in" room. Their COVID policies are on point and they manage to make it comfortable.

    This business matters. I will always opt for a business operated and staffed by women of color. But hear this... I am now a lifetime client because Dr. Holder is the best - hands down, but it matters to me and I hope it matter to you, too.

    Kick those pandemic wrinkles to the curb, inspect that mole or banish that swirly back hair (ew) HERE.     read less

It’s taken years — as a woman of color, to find a dermatologist who is also a POC and understands my skin and the risks I have with certain treatments. I’ve been getting Fraxel treatments with Dr. Holder every 6 weeks since January for my acne scarring, ,the results are amazing thus far. Dr. Holder is very knowledgeable about Fraxel and has done many case studies and research globally about the skin treatment. I always know I’m in good hands when I go to her! The whole office (Kelly & Dr. Holder), both make you feel so welcome when you come here and they make talking about your skin issues more welcoming versus other dermatologist. I would most definitely recommend to anyone + she is just the sweetest person ever. read less

    Most importantly, my skin’s condition and overall feeling have shifted completely within a couple weeks. There’s no magic - from my experience, it really comes down to devotedly following a healthy regimen. Dr. Holder recommended one that works for me and helps me see the beauty of my skin, rather than its flaws. She’s extremely knowledgeable and devoted, very committed to achieving positive and visible results, and thorough. Maintenance of a healthy, vibrant looking skin is just as important to me as the immediate impact, which is why I booked peeling sessions with the practice for the next 6 months or so. Feeling good is priceless.

    Beyond that, the staff is lovely, and the overall experience is of attention to detail and high awareness to personal hygiene. Highly recommend a visit.     read less

When they found out my age they were SHOCKED I was much older than they were! My skin lookeed so good they thought i was their age!.

    The doctor is so nice and the results are FANTASTIC! I got botox in my armpits (which is really hard to find someone who does this). The doctor explained everything to me beforehand, and numbed the area beforehand, which helped so much. I felt nothing during the procedure and it lasted for 7 months!!!! Love her and I'm going back very soon.     read less

First of all, they have been very good during during the pandemic to follow protocol and make sure patients feel safe. Second, Dr. Holder and her staff are both friendly and professional; I always look forward to catching up with everyone during my appointments. I started seeing Dr. Holder last summer, when I was beginning to experience hair loss (which I now know was due to stress). I was extremely concerned, as I was getting married in less than a year! She was very thorough, explaining the science behind everything she was doing, and investigated every option to make sure there were no underlying medical conditions that might be causing the hair loss. I have been receiving treatment every few months for the past year, and I am very pleased with my results so far. I notice my hair is thicker overall, and my part is thinner. And my hair looked great in my wedding photos! I know that hair regrowth is a slow process, but I am committed to continuing with the treatments until I am back to what I had pre-pandemic. She... read moreThe absolutely best dermatologist I’ve ever been too. As someone who struggles with rosacea and various other skin/hair things, Dr. Holder has been a blessing and a life saver. She took the time to get to know me and when it came time for a routine, Dr. Holder sat with me and explained everything and offered to write out step by step instructions (that I also wrote) so I could ask questions and make sure I understand what was being prescribed. When I had some questions a few weeks later she took the time on a Saturday evening to answer them and help me find a pharmacist near by, as I was out of town.

Besides her incredibly warm bedside manner, Dr. Holder is brilliant and has, what is in my opinion, the holy grail of fraxel treatments -- a special protocol that she developed in France that not only yields better results, but also requires zero -- yes, you heard me correct - downtime. I wouldn't have believed it for myself had it not been for the fact that my 50 year old husband (I made him be the guinea pig before I took a ride in fraxel land) got the procedure done at her office. Absent any peeling or looking like a baked lobster on July 4th, I even questioned if he actually had the procedure done. Well that is until his skin glowed like a Korean skin goddess with the perfect "glass complexion". Even our close friend accused him of getting plastic surgery (yes, this really happened!). Once I saw the results on my gorgeous -- and now even more gorgeous and not a pore to be found on his face -- husband, I was excited to get the procedure done. After spending several hours at her office waiting for my numbing cream to kick in and getting an in-depth evaluation by Dr. Holder (she probably spent more than an hour with me, asking what my skin wishes were being she was my skin fairy godmother) I was ready for my closeup with Fraxel. Admittedly, I was nervous as I'd assumed even with all the numbing and pre-care that Dr. Holder is known for, it would still be painful. I'm happy to report that with her proprietary protocol, I did not feel any discomfort whatsoever - not once did I squeeze the stress ball she gave me! I left her office without any pain or redness, just the most minor aftereffects from the numbing cream that disappeared by the time I got home. My complexion looks markedly better even at this early stage of healing. I'm so thrilled with the results so far that I want to scream from the rooftops and tell the whole world, "you, too can have the complexion of a Korean goddess, without any downtime or the hideous peeling, thanks to her brilliant signature protocol!" If you're interested in beautifying your complexion and turning back the clock a solid 5 years or more, pick up the phone and call Dr. Holder's office asap, though I suspect Brooklyn's hidden gem will not remain a secret for long. read less

Not only is she an amazing dermatologist with an extensive knowledge of her craft, she is also attentive and cares about your skin as much as you do. And her staff is just as friendly and attentive. The office itself is a little gem in the middle of Park Slope: it’s clean and cozy and the decor is simply beautiful, unlike the clinical look of many doctors’ offices - the meditation room is wonderful! I later found out that it’s the the only Medispa in all of Brooklyn!

    I went to see her for microdermabrasion, because I thought that’s what I need for blackheads and uneven skin tone. She skin and to get rid of my blackheads. But after examining my skin, she recommended a Reviva peel. It was the best thing I’ve ever done for my skin! I peeled for almost a week but the results were amazing: my skin is clearer and brighter after just one treament (she recommends a series of 6). She provided me a regimen to complement my treatments, which I’m using (and loving it.)

    She also examined a small dot I had next to my nose for over a year and recommended it to be removed and examined. I’m so glad she removed it because it was fibrous papule, which can only be removed surgically. If you’re around Park Slope and need to see a dermatologist, she’s the doctor to see. She will listen to your concerns and provide the most effective treatment for you in a beautiful spa setting.     read less

When I met her, I was so insecure about my skin and having the worst acne experiences as a teenager, but Dr. Holder helped me gain my confidence back. She helped me learn about my skin, and how I can become my OWN dermatologist. I’ve been seeing her for for a few years now, and every time I’m at her office, I feel so at home and so safe. Dr Holder is the most hardworking person - I can’t thank her enough for helping me, and can’t reccomend her enough! read less
