The depth of the peel will determine the amount of skin sloughing. A series of peels, done over weeks and/or months, along with a daily skin care regimen, results in skin exfoliation and creates a more youthful appearance. The peel solutions are derived from naturally occurring organic acids-these are helpful in reducing photoaging, hyperpigmentation, surface roughness, freckling, and acne. At PSD, our dermatologist uses glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, trichlorocetic acid, Vitalize, Illuminize and Rejuvenize peels.
